"Mathematics Disciplines, by Grade Level," reflects typical grade-level groupings of these disciplines in both integrated and traditional curricula. The lightly shaded region reflects the minimum requirement for mastery by all students. The dark shaded region depicts content that is typically considered elective but that should also be mastered by students who complete the other disciplines in the lower grade levels and continue the study of mathematics

ARBOR ACADEMY

Arbor Academy recognizes that a great deal of knowledge comes from the life experiences, interests, hobbies or vocations of an individual. Arbor Academy students may receive high school credit for a wide range of pursuits. Examples include, personal websites or online reports, ezines etc., volunteer service in a particular field, conferences, seminars or workshops, research projects, tutorials, workshops, seminars, conferences, private classes, personal studies, community service, and community college coureswork.

In order to document this work, students should follow the Portfolio Method Summary included in the Student Package. If the materials do not readily translate to this method, please contact us for other documentaion methods.

Each Portfolio earns ten units of credit for every 36 weeks of participation at three hours per week. Eighteen weeks of participation at three hours per week earns five units of credit.
